Roll label production
Printed and blank self-adhesive roll labels made with the core, winding direction and size that suit your labelling machine.

Short answer
A roll label is a self-adhesive label wound on a core, used with a labelling machine, applicator or printer. It is made printed or blank, in coated paper, PP, clear or metallised materials. Core diameter, roll outer diameter and winding direction are set to your machine.
What is a roll label?
A roll label is a self-adhesive label on a silicone-coated carrier, wound on a core. It suits series application with a labelling machine, applicator or desktop printer. Printed roll labels carry brand and product information; blank ones are printed with a printer.
Which materials are used?
| Material | Property | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Coated paper | Economical, vivid print | Food, retail, general labels |
| PP (polypropylene) | Resistant to water, moisture and oil | Food, cosmetics, cleaning |
| Clear film | "No-label look" | Glass and transparent packs |
| Metallised film | Shiny metallic look | Premium products |
What should you specify for your machine?
- Label size and shape (square, round, custom cut)
- Core diameter and roll outer diameter
- Winding direction (which end the label leaves from)
- Line speed and application surface (glass, PET, carton)
Print options
Multi-colour print in brand colours, matt or gloss varnish, metallic effects and variable data (barcode, lot) are possible. For campaigns and small runs see our sticker labels, and for permanent product labels our printed labels page.

What is a roll label?
A roll label is a self-adhesive label wound on a core. It is applied in series with a labelling machine, applicator or printer.
What materials are roll labels made from?
Coated paper, PP, clear and metallised film are the most common options. We recommend a material by the moisture, oil and cold conditions of the product.
Why do core and winding direction matter?
The labelling machine or applicator is set for the core diameter and the end the label leaves from. A wrong winding makes the machine apply the label the wrong way round.
Should a roll label be printed or blank?
Printed suits fixed brand and product information; blank (printer-printed) or part-printed rolls suit barcodes and variable information.
Can special shapes and cuts be made?
Yes. A die is prepared for round, square, oval and product-contour cuts. The die size is settled at the design stage.
How is the number of labels per roll determined?
The number that fits a roll is calculated from the label size, roll outer diameter and core. Just share the maximum roll diameter your machine accepts.
Does it hold up on cold, damp or oily surfaces?
PP and specially coated materials are durable in these conditions. Tell us the application surface and environment and we recommend the right material and adhesive.
Is there a minimum order?
No, we have no minimum order requirement. We quote for small quantities and regular roll orders too.
