What Determines Label Prices? What You Need for a Quote
What determines label, sleeve and seal band prices, and the information to prepare to get a quote quickly.

Short answer: A label price is the sum of material (paper, PP, PVC, PET-G, OPS), size, number of print colours, quantity, cut shape and special finishes (varnish, hologram, perforation). At the same size, the unit price generally falls as quantity rises.
When someone asks for a label price, a single number is not possible, because two labels that look alike may differ in material, size and finish. Pricing is project based; with the right information a quote is prepared much faster.
7 factors that affect the price
- Material type and thickness: paper, PP, PVC, PET-G or OPS.
- Size: width, height and circumference of the label or sleeve.
- Colours and print technique: cost may rise with more colours.
- Order quantity and delivery frequency: unit cost falls as quantity rises.
- Cut and shape: shapes that need a special die affect cost.
- Extra finishes: varnish, metallic effect, perforation, hologram.
- Roll winding and core size: set to suit your machine.
What should you prepare for a quote?
- Product and pack: for example a 500 ml PET bottle or a 720 ml glass jar.
- Label type: sleeve, adhesive label, thermal or seal band.
- Size: circumference and height in millimetres.
- Quantity: one-off or monthly; the approximate number.
- Print: number of colours and the design file.
- Application: by machine or by hand; roll direction.
How can you reduce the price?
Cutting unnecessary colours, choosing a standard size and shape, combining orders into one batch and choosing the material to match the product all balance cost. Our sales team prepares a recommendation that fits your need without unneeded features.
